Advanced nutrient removal in wastewater treatment

Did you know that the revision of the UWWTD (Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive) brings stricter requirements for phosphorus (< 0.5 mg/l instead of 1 mg/l) and nitrogen removal (>80% instead of >70%)?

The C-TECH process includes simultaneous nitrification/denitrification and very high biological phosphorus elimination, meaning that these limits are already being met.

Over 1,500 C-TECH plants with a capacity of up to 245,000 m³/day have already been built worldwide, making the process one of the technology leaders in global wastewater treatment.

Other aspects of the future, such as very low energy consumption thanks to the special OUR process control or lower nitrous oxide emissions compared to conventional systems, are also already being realised.
