In 2018, SFC Umwelttechnik built a C-MEM™ MBBR plant for the treatment of municipal wastewater from a mountain hut at Wiesberghaus, designed for 100 population equivalents. The plant includes 2 modules and was specifically developed due to the high loads and concentrated wastewater streams. Despite limited space, an existing plant was converted to meet the stringent effluent requirements necessitated by on-site wastewater infiltration. Additionally, the plant enables water recycling for toilet flushing. This project demonstrates the effectiveness and adaptability of the C-MEM™ MBBR technology under extreme conditions.
