SFC Umwelttechnik sets new standards in sustainable water treatment with its innovative C-MEM™ ultrafiltration membrane. Given the growing concerns about the harmful effects of PFAS—a group of industrial chemicals known as “forever chemicals” due to their poor biodegradability—our technology is particularly relevant. PFAS can accumulate in soil, water, and living organisms and are suspected of being carcinogenic.

Our C-MEM™ ultrafiltration membrane is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as opposed to conventional PVDF membranes, which can even contribute to the formation of PFAS. Thanks to this advanced material choice, no PFAS wastewater is generated during the production and operation of our membranes. Thus, our C-MEM™ membranes help protect the environment and ensure that no harmful substances are released.

The C-MEM™ ultrafiltration membrane meets the highest standards in production as well as in application for wastewater treatment, water recycling, and drinking water treatment. Our technology is already compliant with a proposed EU-wide PFAS ban in production. This underscores our commitment to sustainable and safe solutions in water treatment.

By avoiding PFAS in our membranes, we once again demonstrate our endeavor to improve water quality worldwide while protecting the environment. Our customers can rely on SFC Umwelttechnik to provide not only effective but also environmentally friendly solutions.

Our commitment to “clean water for the world” drives us to constantly seek new ways to improve water treatment technologies while adhering to the highest ecological standards. Trust SFC Umwelttechnik and our C-MEM™ ultrafiltration membrane to ensure sustainable and safe water treatment. Together, we are shaping a future where clean water and environmental protection go hand in hand.
