In Großarl, Austria, SFC Umwelttechnik has converted an existing conventional wastewater plant into a C-TECH™ plant, now designed for 18,000 population equivalents. The plant, which has been in operation since 2005, features 4 basins and ensures the efficient removal of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. The wastewater treatment is particularly challenging during the tourism season in winter, when the highest loads occur at the lowest water temperatures. This project demonstrates the flexibility and performance of the C-TECH™ technology, especially under demanding conditions, and significantly contributes to improving the water quality in Großarl.
