In Bad Tölz, Germany, SFC Umwelttechnik installed a C-MEM™ ultrafiltration plant for a multi-family house with 9 apartments. The plant, which has been in operation since 2020, serves as a pre-filter that removes particles, turbidity, and potential Legionella from the drinking water network. This ensures that the entire piping system in the house remains free of Legionella, allowing the hot water temperature to be lowered from over 60°C to below 50°C. This results in a 30% energy savings. This project demonstrates how the C-MEM™ ultrafiltration technology not only improves water quality but also contributes to energy efficiency in residential buildings.
