Ben Hazard, process engineer at SFCU´s British partner company Trant, is the author of an article on phosphorus removal with SFCU´s C-TECH process, which was recently published in the Water Industry Journal. The article describes the advantages of C-TECH such as minimum footprint, very low operation costs, simultaneous nitrification/denitrification and biological phosphorus removal. In addition, it presents a case study on an Austrian C-TECH plant. The technology is perfectly suited for meeting the requirements of low nutrient content in the effluent of a WWTP in future as well.
