SFCU´s innovative C-ION technology as 4th treatment step for trace substance removal in wastewater treatment plant effluent has made it into the final for the Energy Globe Salzburg Award in the category water. The award ceremony will take place in the ORF regional studio Salzburg on February 6, 2018. Dr. Simon Jabornig and Dipl.-Ing. Karl Winkler will represent SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH in the event.
Worldwide leading bakery product manufacturer installs C-MEM MBR plant with upstreams dissolved air flotation DAF in Mexico
The worldwide leading bakery product manufacturer with headquarters in Mexico City installs a C-MEM WWTP (86 m³/d, 2 modules, 128 cartridges) with upstreams dissolved air flotation in one of its subsidiaries for treating the wastewater from food production.
First, fats and oils are separated by means of upstreams DAF as pre-treatment as well as high loads in the inlet are removed, which reduces the necessary basin size for the biology. Afterwards the wastewater is treated biologically with the C-MEM ultrafiltration technology so that it can be reused. By doing so, the water consumption can be reduced significantly.
As a matter of fact, treatment to recycling quality is especially important in the food production sector, as the food production process requires relatively much water.
