SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH also offers the MBBR technology (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) for the treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater as well as for further treatment of already treated wastewater and/or water.
SFCU takes over the planning of the MBBR reactors and supplies process-specific equipment as well as the control of the plants.
In the wastewater projects Holzwärme Flachau (A), Pfeifer Kundl (A), RZ Klagenfurt (A) and Wiesberghaus (A) the technology is already applied successfully for wastewater treatment in combination with SFCU’s C-MEM technology.
The MBBR technology is offered as a separate process stage, but also in combination with SFCU’s C-MEM and C-TECH technology.
- higher effective sludge retention time (SRT), which is favourable for nitrification
- responds to load fluctuations without operator intervention
- lower sludge production
- less area required
- resilient to toxic shock
- process performance independent of secondary clarifier (because there is no sludge return line)
